The Winnebago County Sheriff may distribute any information
received through this site as deemed necessary. As a general
policy, the Sheriff will distribute information to other law enforcement
agencies as deemed appropriate.
The Sheriff will not, as a matter of routine policy, distribute
the names of persons obtained through this site, to any one OTHER THAN
law enforcement agencies. The Sheriff will obey and honor all Court
Orders regarding information obtained on this site.
All information that is produced for the Winnebago County Sheriff's
Office Web site will be approved by the Sheriff before it is made public.
The following procedures are expected to be adhered to:

WANTED PERSONS:
All persons submitted to the wanted list (Warrants) on our web site
must be approved by the Sheriff. The information that appears on each
individual will be verified prior to posting on the web site. In the
case of District Court Bench Warrants, the original charge will also
be included. The information on wanted persons will include first name,
middle initial, and last name, date of birth, sex, height and weight,
and last known address. The criminal level of charge, such as misdemeanor
or felony, will also be included. Safety issues and concerns regarding
the wanted person, as well as court ordered bond amounts will be posted.
The Sheriff reserves the right to make a determination on the distance
Sheriff's personnel will travel to take a wanted person into custody.
As a matter of policy, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office will travel
out of state ONLY if a wanted person is arrested on a Felony Warrant.
In the event a wanted person is removed from the Warrants list, the
Site Webmaster will be notified immediately. The Sheriff strives to
keep the information on this web site updated with the latest available
information. Proper notification to the Webmaster will occur through
local law enforcement procedures which include the arresting agency,
dispatch center, or jail staff.
