The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is a progressive and professional law enforcement agency. The Sheriff's Office includes ten full time employees. Winnebago County is a rural farming county located in North Central Iowa. The Sheriff's Office provides police protection for rural areas and incorporated cities.

Currently the department has five full time deputies that work the road. They are responsible for all phases of law enforcement throughout the 400 plus square miles of Winnebago County. Deputies live in Winnebago County while they protect and serve their community.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is involved in Iowa Law Enforcement Intelligence Network (LEIN), the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC), and the North Iowa Narcotics Task Force. We have been involved in the past with these organizations, and will now push to utilize these organizations to protect our community.
