The Sheriff's Office is not only responsible for criminal investigations within Winnebago County, we are also responsible for civil orders as directed by the District Courts of Iowa. This includes a wide range of responsibilities; from the serving of civil documents to the transportation of persons to Correctional or Medical Facilities. Sandy Larson, the Sheriff's Secretary, is responsible for processing and maintaining these Orders and Records. Sandy processes all of the Sheriff's Civil Orders from the Court and also maintains many forms citizens require which are distributed through Iowa's Sheriff's. Sandy also processes much of the paperwork which which comes with every law enforcement agency. Sandy must complete yearly continuing education courses in Iowa's civil law procedures and remained certified by the State of Iowa in these areas. Sandy is also certified by the State of Iowa in Jail Procedures. Sandy joined the Winnebago County law enforcement community as a Dispatcher in 1996. Serving as a Dispatcher for two years, Sandy became the Sheriff's Secretary in 1998. Sandy and her husband have three children. The Sheriff's Administrative Office is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 4:30 PM (excluding holidays). |
